Holiday Happenings

So yet again I have the excuse of being too busy to update my blog. It was the holidays, I've been doing things of a festive nature. I got to catch up with all my other college friends that came home for Christmas break. It's been lovely just chatting and visiting. Which I am very happy to report I am done being a community college student. It was a good semester but I am ready to move on. I didn't realize how much I missed them all until I was around them again. I got the priviledge to visit with Jessica Emmett and talked literally for hours with her. Of course all my Harding friends are in their respective dwellings and they've all been awesome taking time to chat with me in one form or another about next semester. As of today we are 18 days away from moving day!! That still hasn't quite hit me yet that I am moving down to Arkansas to go to Harding University. Wow...
It still has no affect on me! I am going to miss a lot of things; my family, best friends, and my amazing church family. But, there are inumerable things that I am looking forward to.
So for Christmas this year....it was a White Christmas. A beautiful one, the perfect kind of snow, where there was no ice and the roads were good, but there was still plenty of snow! What are my favorite gifts??
I love the Hilary Clinton toilet scrubber my dad got. And two of the brothers-in-laws got funny grill lighters! Gifts that I got that I love are: an apron that my Grandmother got, Apples to Apples (love that game), a huge book on the human body (geeky future nurse), and a book made by Jenna about her first time giving blood (pics soon).
Also I went on a sledding/snow adventure at the Lights yesterday, it was wonderful!

Regrets in Life

There are few things in my life that I regret. But there are some. While on my trip in Europe I didn't get to take many photos because of the space available on my camera. In London there was a "Parade of Elephants" all over the city. Some organization wanted to raise awareness about the endangered species of elephants. There were hundreds of these elephant with various designs. They were awesome, on Baker's Street a Sherlock Holmes theme. One that looked like it was covered in thousands of rubies, and other ones. It was amazing. I'm so mad I didn't take photos, I was trying to ration my photo space throughout the trip. And London was the first stop so I didn't plan well. I found photos on the internet that were some of the elephants that I saw.

I cannot believe I didn't take photos! My biggest regret!

My Dear Watson!

With this laptop I have installed a favorite pastime of mine...Nancy Drew computer games. At an early age I have loved playing them. Wholesome mysteries with sillyness but not entirely pointless. Okay maybe I am a nerd for playing them, but it's relaxing. This weekend I have been biding my time between studying for finals and playing these games. It keeps my mind at ease and is very relaxing. I was looking up on google about Nancy Drew books I haven't read them in years and I loved reading them. I found this that made me laugh because it's so true about Nancy Drew:

"At sixteen she 'had studied psychology in school and was familiar with the power of suggestion and association.' Nancy was a fine painter, spoke French, and had frequently run motor boats. She was a skilled driver who at sixteen 'flashed into the garage with a skill born of long practice.' The prodigy was a sure shot, an excellent swimmer, skillful oarsman, expert seamstress, gourmet cook, and a fine bridge player. Nancy brilliantly played tennis and golf, and rode like a cowboy. Nancy danced like Ginger Rogers and could administer first aid like the Mayo brothers"

Ode to Christmas Lights

There are many things surrounding Christmas that bring me great joy. Hot chocolate is a gift from heaven. Snow as well, such a beautiful thing when it snows. But Christmas lights are probably my favorite thing about Christmas. The twinkling lights that sparkle and dazzle the night. As I have said in my last post, at Harding they have there campus decorated with over 80,000 of these lights! It took my breath away. All I could do was look around and smile!
Unfortunately my camera does not capture the magic....it looks much more amazing in person!

It's been a while!

My consistency amazes me! But now I have more motivation. I type feriously on my new laptop! It is a Dell Inspiron, a gracious late graduation gift from my parents, it's red and awesome. So to catch up on my life lately. Lots of homework and studying! As of today, I am offically done with classes at ECC, but still have finals next week. It has been a good semester, but I am ready for Harding! I cannot believe that I am almost a month away from leaving to go to school there. I just visited Searcy this past weekend, it was wonderful. The Christmas lights were put up all around campus and are so spectacular. I met and made friends with many different people and it just makes me even more excited to be going there. God is good in providing me a school that fits all my needs and wants. In the meantime there's plenty of things to do to get ready. I can't believe it's almost Christmas! Where did the time go? Life is good for the most part. And again I just love this laptop!!
